Welcome! If you’re simply visiting, currently looking for a Church, or simply curious about the Christian faith we are so glad you are here! Please take a look around – we hope this site will help you get to know us. One of the best ways to get acquainted with us is to join us on a Sunday morning. You are also welcome to check out in any number of Bible Studies or small groups that are both on-going and seasonal.
Please give us a call. Susan Nelson is our very friendly office administrator and she would love to answer any questions you might have. We look forward to getting to know you, so feel free to contact us, or any of our wonderful staff, by phone, or email.

A Word About “Church”
When we hear or say “Church” what image or picture comes to mind?
One night, quite a few years ago, Becca came into our daughter’s room and noticed her little ceramic church building with its light on, and exclaimed, “Hey, look at the beautiful church!” Kristy responded, “Mom, we are the church, you and me, that’s just a little building.” We found that promising!
In the past whenever we have said, “we’re going to church,” far and away our kids thought of the property, the facility we meet in, the “place” where we’re going. In other words, church is on the corner of Monte Vista and University. What church becomes then is something separate from where we are most of the time. We know from what the Bible tells us that the church is not where we go; it’s who we are.
So when we say “church” we want much more than a place to come to mind, actually we hope for an entire host of things to flood our children’s thoughts: like a community of people who help them see God and help them discover more of who they are. And we want them to think of people – lots of them! Interesting, fascinating, struggling, hopeful, honest, compassionate, caring people … real people!
People who come together and unite in a way unlike anything they’ll ever see anywhere else. United not because they look, act, think, and dress alike, but because they share the same Lord and the same extraordinary purpose, to glorify God and build up the church. A bunch of humble, ordinary, approachable people, who freely acknowledge they are sinners, and readily recognize their need to change and grow. People who tell the truth about themselves; people who truly value one another and readily celebrate the image of God in each other; people who know how to have fun! When our children think of “church” I want them to think of a dynamic group of God-followers risking it all to reach the world with the love of Christ.
Our prayer is that this is what our children would see and experience as a part of HCC. This hints at what we’re longing for, and hopefully gives you a glimpse of the journey we’re on as Healdsburg Community Church. So, if you don’t mind being with people who don’t have it all together but believe that together we have all that is needed in Christ, please join us! Join us in the continual discovery of God’s extraordinary love and amazing grace.
