“We are a fellowship devoted to Christ, intent on deepening our faith, discovering God’s grace, and discerning God’s purpose, that we may serve our local and world communities and be a voice of hope to all.”
- “We are a fellowship …”
We are a family of faith committed to helping each other grow in Christ. We believe there is no such thing as a “Christian only-child.” When we come to Christ we join his family. (Acts 2:42-47; 1 Corinthians 12:12,27) - “Devoted to Jesus Christ …”
Our entire life as a church revolves around, is centered on, the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Worship, teaching, fellowship, prayer, service & evangelism grow out of our response to what God the Father has done in sending His Son to be our Savior and Lord. It is our highest calling, to know Him and to make Him known. (John 1:1-4,14; Colossians 1:1-20, Colossians 2:9-10) - “Deepening our faith …”
The Christian life is not static but dynamic; it is a relationship with the living God. So we will creatively seek to nurture the spiritual growth of our people. - “Discovering God’s Grace …”
Genuine life-change, transformation (new life) is possible when we experience the amazing grace of God. We are spiritually “set in motion,” when God’s grace meets human need. The healing and restorative love of Jesus Christ begins to flow. His unmerited love brings a new freedom to acknowledge our brokenness and our need for repentance, and it sets us free to love and serve. We believe that our mission/ministry should flow from the experience of God’s grace. (Ephesians 2:8-9) - “Discerning God’s purpose … as a church … as individuals …”
We believe that Jesus Christ has a purpose for our church and a purpose for us as individual followers of his. That every person who has come to Jesus Christ is a called person. And so, we will work to clarify and provide opportunity for the expression of each person’s unique gifts. We believe that it is in Christ that the deep questions regarding our identity and our purpose are addressed. (Ephesians 2:10) - “That we may serve our local and world communities …”
Jesus came not “to be served but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for all.” (Mark 10:45). Jesus also stated: “As the Father has sent me, so I am sending you.” And so we seek to serve our neighbors and our world, as we share the good news of Jesus Christ proclaimed through our words as well as our lives by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Mathew 28:18-20; 2 Corinthians 5:16-21) - “… A voice of hope to all.”
We believe that the good news of God’s love produces hope like nothing else!
